Cephalon has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2009, revealing net sales amounting to $535.2 million (326.5 million pounds) - a rise of nine per cent compared to the same quarter of 2008.
Basic adjusted income per common share for the period stood at $1.70, also representing an increase 25 per cent.
Adjusted net income for the timeframe stood at $126.7 million, marking a rise of 36 per cent over the $92.9 million accrued during the third quarter of last year.
Franchise net sales for its central nervous system products reached $291.9 million, while pain franchise net sales amounted to $116.3 million and oncology franchise net sales stood at $83.1 million.
Cephalon was founded in 1987 and has since grown to become one of the top ten biopharmaceutical companies in the world and currently employs around 3,000 individuals.
